[Greek2017] Welcome to the Greek Plays reading Odyssey discussion group

Hi all,

Sorry for the tardy reply, am on sabbatical and am only unpredictably
online (and wonderfully so!). I'm currently in the mountains of Washington
State, visiting my parents, and we are enjoying one of the deepest
snowfalls on record. So, I'll be taking the call perched over a snowy river
with snowy mountains in the background!

I don't have almost any experience with "the classics", except for what I
read in high school. In college I studied computer science and music, and
ended up doing a masters in music, which defines the extent of my studies
in European history and culture. Then I did the startup thing, founded a
company called Animoto, where I was for the past 10 years, leaving about 2
months ago.

Excited to be diving into new territory, and thank you in advance for
pretending not to notice my pronunciation blunders!

TOM
