I am Steve Womack and teach 10th grade English at Lee County High School in Sanford, NC. I teach the Iliad each semester to my students and try to pass on my love and admiration for Homer and other Greek classical writers. I love learning so I can be a better educator and promoter of life long learning. I am thrilled to be a part of the group! I hope my varied schedule as a teacher, athletic administrator and athletic trainer will allow me to be a part of all the scheduled meetings.

Hello All,

My name is Mike. I am currently working on my Masters in Classical
History. I also live in Enland at the moment and have been in the Air
Force for 20 years.

I joined because my instrutor for my last class had told us about the
Marathon 2500 event that was held and after attending that I wanted to
do more and thought this would be a great start, since it fits so
nicely in with my school work.

This is my first Reading Odyssey event and I am very much looking forward to it.

v/r,
Mike
