[Homer2010] Introduction

Hi everyone,

 

My name is Ann Latner. I'm a freelance writer and editor, mainly writing for
trade publications for medical professionals. If you want to see some of my

www.grapegal.com, and http://portwashingtonfood.blogspot.com.  

 

In my former life, I was a criminal defense attorney in Queens, and then the
editor of magazine for pharmacists, and eventually the director of
periodicals with the American Pharmacists Association. I'm much happier now
that I'm working for myself!

 

I was an English major in college long ago (creative writing), but somehow I
managed to graduate without ever having read either the Iliad or the
Odyssey!  So I'm very grateful and excited to have a chance to do so now.  I
heard about this via one of Pat Wictor's e-newsletters. I was always
impressed with his current reading list and think it's great to be able to
still push yourself once you're out of school. How few of us do. 

 

Music is a big passion of mine, both listening (I'm a big fan of Pat's), and
playing (just for fun- piano, and a little guitar). My dream is to someday
learn to play the cello.

 

I look forward to "meeting" you all during our call.
