[Homer2010] Introduction

[Kenneth R. Youngert]

Hi my name is Ken Youngert and I am a retired High School English teacher
and Elementary Principal. I have never read the Odyssey cover to cover. I
did study the Iliad in high school Latin class- lo those many years ago. I
live in Virginia and I like to read and now that I have the time read
leisurely I will relish the opportunity. 
 
I live with my partner, Tom, and two Schnauzers: T.G. Tucker and Scooter who
are litter mates. I am taking piano lessons and hope someday to play
somewhat well. We like to travel and have been all over this country and
have made plans to take the maiden voyage on the new Queen Elizabeth in
October, We will go from Southampton to the Canary Islands and back.
 
How did I learn about this? Well we have a list serve in our neighborhood
called Lake Link and someone wrote about Pat and I thought I might like his
music so I went and looked him up and so here I am in this reading group.
Hope that I can contribute something worthwhile but if I can't I hope to
learn something.
