Hello,

My name is Jacqui Cain. I have an MA in Humanities, where I focused in
Shakespeare studies, but by profession I work in developmental English at
the community college level and am working on my third Open Education
Resources grant. When not working, I am part of a local theater troupe,
enjoy films, yoga, and cooking...hiking too when the weather is cooperative.

I joined the reading group because I realized a few years back that almost
all the reading I do now is non-fiction, but there are dozens of books that
I always meant to get around to reading, and that wasn't going to happen
unless I got really serious about it. So last year I read *Skylark* and *Moby
Dick*, the year before it was *The Inferno* and some plays by Sophocles,
and this year it is *The Iliad*, and probably *The Decameron* (could be *Don
Quixote*, haven't made up my mind yet).

I am also glad for the opportunity to read *The Iliad* because I am going
to see *Troilus and Cressida* again in the Spring, and I am hoping it will
make some of the confusing sections in that play more clear. Like many
here, this is my first time in a formal reading group, and I am looking
forward to our future discussions and getting to know everyone.

Yours,
Jacqui
